As an experienced and qualified academic, researcher, consultant and advisor, Dr Fiona Creaby provides services to a variety of clients and organisations. Specialising in business management and leadership development, with expertise across a range of sectors, Dr Creaby offers a variety of services to suit the needs of organisations, professional sectors and research institutions. This includes, but is not limited to:
- undertaking curriculum and content design and the delivery of programmes of study and training, both face-to-face and online
- designing, leading and undertaking research projects, evaluation and analysis
- research supervision, tuition and lecturing
- conducting management evaluation studies and organisational investigation
- providing sector-specific advisory services and coaching in leadership, strategic management, people management and professional development (education, charities and not-for-profit organisations)
Background
Having worked in the Higher Education sector as a qualified lecturer and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), with fellowship of the Higher Education Academy, Dr Creaby is an experience course writer, content developer, teacher/tutor, and research supervisor of undergraduate and postgraduate levels of study. Having designed curriculum and content and acted as internal verifier for professional certificates and diploma programmes awarded by the Institute of Management and Leadership, as well as modules for Bachelor and Masters level study and unaccredited programmes of training and study, Dr Creaby has a range of skills to suit the needs of education providers, universities, awarding bodies and training companies.
Dr Creaby is also an experienced researcher and Doctor of Education having undertaken a range of research projects. With particular expertise in qualitative research, evaluation, action research and case study research, Dr Creaby holds range of professional skills from constructing and leading a research project to completing data collection and/or analysis, interview transcription services, report/article writing, proofing, conducting literature reviews and document analysis and providing thought pieces, seminars and conference presentations.
Having undertaken conference presentations and keynotes, Dr Creaby is an experienced public speaker and presenter delivering a variety of topics in relation to leadership development to professional bodies, government agencies and departments, academic conferences and professional sector/industry conferences.
With an early career in business management, Dr Creaby is also an experienced and qualified business leader (MSc.) with experience at senior organisational level from operations to strategic management with expertise in organisational leadership, governance, people management, coaching and development, quality assurance and financial management and planning. Her sector experience includes education (e.g. schools, early years centres, colleges) and NFP (not-for-profit) organisations, NGOs (non-government organisations), social care charities, as well as private training providers and private businesses.
Dr Creaby is also an editorial advisor and contributor for ‘The Voice’ – the professional journal by the Institute of School Business Leadership (ISBL) and also serves as a sector advisor for school business leadership professional qualifications development and is a member of several professional and research bodies.
